Noon

The sun rises higher still

As I continue my climb up the hill

I feel the wind beat against my back

But it isn't strength that I lack

I lacked the knowledge of myself

And understanding of the darkness within me

After I had endured so much

I could only be strong

I was nearing the top of the mound

And now is the first time I have truly felt proud of myself

Through all of my failures

And all my successes

It is now, as I draw near my destination

I know that I am pure light

Pure strength

And pure energy

I will live to see another day,

I will find out who I am meant to be

I will see the view from the top of the mound

I am strong

I am free

And I am me
